Project Visit to the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck: ISP Shapes the Demonstrators of Tomorrow’s Production

On January 29, the project sponsor of the “Hansebelt Innovation Matrix Lübeck” initiative and representatives of the Schleswig-Holstein state ministry visited the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck to gain an on-site overview of the project’s current status. Together with Dr. Bernd Roß, Maurice Selke (Ministry for General and Vocational Education, Science, Research and Culture of the State of Schleswig-Holstein), and Christina Hilgers (VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH), the project management of the interdisciplinary consortium discussed progress, challenges, and achievements from the past year.

The exchange also focused on planned measures aimed at more effectively translating scientific innovation potential into economic value creation, business cooperation, and technology transfer in the future.

A key part of the visit was the tour of Hall F4 at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences. As part of the project, a total of eight demonstrators showcasing the “production of tomorrow” are being developed there through close collaboration between the ISP of the University of Lübeck, Lübeck University of Applied Sciences, the Lübeck Technology Center, and the Lübeck Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The ISP plays a central role in this effort: it is significantly involved in the development of several demonstrators and vividly illustrates the concept and wide-ranging industrial applications of a digital twin using a Fischertechnik-based model.
